Tamim Iqbal is a prominent Bangladeshi cricketer. He was born on March 20, 1989, in Chittagong, Bangladesh. Tamim is a left-handed opening batsman known for his aggressive style of play.



Tamim made his debut for the Bangladesh national cricket team in 2007 and quickly established himself as a key player. He has represented Bangladesh in all three formats of the game – Tests, One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

In Test cricket, Tamim has been a consistent performer for Bangladesh. He holds several records for his country, including being the first Bangladeshi batsman to score 10,000 runs in international cricket across all formats. He has scored centuries against various top cricketing nations and has played a vital role in Bangladesh's progress as a Test-playing nation.

In ODIs, Tamim has been a prolific run-scorer for Bangladesh. He has accumulated numerous centuries and holds the record for the highest individual score by a Bangladeshi batsman in ODIs.
